Chemical Aerosol Projectors – Basic User Certification

Most US agencies have less than 50 sworn officers and, as a result, don’t have fully certified instructors for many force options and non-lethal weapons training needs.  Non-Lethal Weapons are the highest liabilities for any agency.

Therefore, we have partnered with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) in Green Bay, WI to offer a series of basic-level certifications to help these agencies maintain their officer certification status — without compromising the officer’s time and without the extra expense for officer travel.

One of these programs is our Chemical Aerosol Projectors – Basic User Certification — which is based on a program originally developed in 1990 that has been taken by thousands of professionals worldwide.

This program is designed for agencies to update, train and certify their officers on the handling of these chemical aerosol projectors, including effective and safe deployment tactics, selection process, documentation requirements, medical concerns, field proven decontamination methods and legal liability that often follows the application of these non-lethal weapons.

The course consists of 9 chapters — with each including a short video (~ 15 minutes) and an associated PowerPoint presentation (as a downloadable PDF). In addition, a comprehensive course manual (downloadable PDF) is included for reference. All of these materials were updated in 2010.

At the end of each chapter, there is a 5-question quiz that must be passed (80% after 3 tries) to proceed to the next chapter.
